Wedding Planning RECAP @ Prairie Production

One of our favorite venues is Prairie Production, a family owned and operated venue/photo studio in The West Loop!  This venue has such great space, feel and vibe, it just makes perfect sense for a fun party!  This past summer, we worked with such a great couple to make their wedding day come to life.  They wanted a casual reception, but elegant all at the same time.  This is how we made this happen!First, lets take a look at the ceremony.  They wanted to get married in front of the beautiful windows in the main room.  We worked with our floral designer, Juliet, to create a custom “alter” piece that was a wooden table that was filled with all sorts of wooden boxes, floral pieces, candles and more!

When you stepped back and looked at the composition in the room, it was just stunning.  The center aisle was finished off with shepherd hooks and hanging floral centerpieces.

Since we did not have assigned seating, we did want something for the guests in lieu of a place card table, so we covered the existing metal table, to soften the look, and then had the guests write messages on small rocks to the couple.  They are going to use the rocks as part of their home decor.

As for the main loft, post ceremony, into dinner, we transformed the space, using a variety of sized round tables with no assigned seating for the guests. They were able to sit where ever they would have liked!  With a combination of neutral linens and bright floral colors, the room really came to life.

For the bride and groom, we brought in lounge furniture that helped accentuate the look of this French Country look.

And looking at the room, once you walked back in from cocktail hour, it was just perfect!  We were able to achieve what they wanted.
