This week, we are taking a look back at another wedding with a rustic inspired theme. The different when most people thing rustic is they think casual. That was the last thing this stunner at Harold Washington Library was. It was an elegant wedding with a rustic inspired twist. Here’s how we made it all come together.
The first thing we did, was design the room to be able to accommodate both the ceremony and the reception. The first element we adde was the rustic inspired chuppah. That was at the front of the ceremony space. The aisle runner which ran from the backdrop to the end of the aisle was adorned with tall floral pieces and candles. This was so elegant and held true to the rustic themed with the style. A simple green aisle tie made this ceremony space complete!
From the transition from ceremony to reception, we were able to take all of the elements we used in the ceremony to make the room have an elevated rustic look. These gorgeous tall arrangements have that traditional shape, with a more rustic/modern look with dripping greens and being just a little more asymmetrical.
We used the fruitwood chivari chairs to give that elevated look. With a combination of the natural toned linens, it pulled the look together.
We also incorporated another floral look, lower and closer to the table. This is a way to help create dimension in the room. This low look was just a sweet as these large arrangements.
We also took the back drop from the ceremony and moved that and the front of the chuppah to create a backdrop for the feasting table which served as the head table.
The final layer that was added was the cafe string lights and uplighting. These small touches really helped pull the look together.
This wedding was one of our favs! Come back next week to get more inspiration for planning your wedding!
