Wedding Planning RECAP @ Bridgeport Arts Center

Today, we are taking a look back at a gorgeous wedding we produced at Bridgeport Arts Center in the Skyline Loft.  What is great about this wedding is the bride and groom wanted to have a lofty background for their wedding with an elegant, garden feel.  Almost as though we were enjoying the wedding and reception outside. With that said, here’s how we created that look.

The wedding ceremony was onsite, so in order to keep with the lofty, garden feel, we did a couple of things.  First, if you can see in the forefront of the ceremony space, the chuppah was created out of a wooden structure that was adored with floral and greenery.  A simple cloth was hung to create the ceiling.

Along the aisle, we used a combination of wooden boxes, crates, tree stumps, lanterns, floral elements and then the most impressive elements, trees!  Our friends at Revel Decor outdid themselves on this aisle!

Another fun element we created sticking to our theme was this beautiful place card table display.  A simple wooden structure was created, adorned with garlands and floral elements with candles that sat a top of a wooden farm table, just made this piece simply perfect and just a little different than your average place card table set up!

For the dinner and dancing reception, we transformed the room by using a combination or round, linened tables and rectangular tables which were wooden farm tables.  By using the combination of tables, it really does help create depth and dimension in the room!

Working with the trees, we were able to scatter them throughout the room to help make it feel as though the guests were dining in a garden or outdoors.

And keeping the table arrangements simple, yet fun and hanging cafe lighting throughout the loft really helped finish this look.

Thank you again for looking at our RECAP!  More to come soon!
