We had the pleasure of working with Kim Weinberg as our day-of wedding coordinator. Because of my own background in hospitality and event planning, I was reluctant to spend the money on a day-of coordinator, but I am so glad that I listened to my partner and hired Kim! Even with my experience, we would have been completely lost without her and her assistant Laura.

Kim was a huge help in creating our day of timeline and coordinating with our vendors (and my very hands-on mother in law). We were able to set a schedule that was realistic and even when we inevitably ran late (thanks broken elevators), Kim had taken everything into account and we were able to get back on track with virtually no stress.

We opted to create our own centerpieces and our ceremony and reception decor was filled with lots of personal touches. While Kim was making sure that my partner and I had everything we needed, Laura did an exceptional job setting up the venue and it looked better than we imagined.

During our wedding, Kim was a saving grace. It seemed like every time I needed her, I looked up and she was there. She did a great job anticipating our needs and the needs of our family members. She also did a fantastic job managing all of our vendors so that we were able to stay in the moment and enjoy our wedding.

Even for the most detail oriented, type A bride, I would recommend hiring a coordinator, and I would 100% hire Kim again. We are so grateful to her and Liven It Up Events for making sure our wedding exceeded our every expectation.


We hired Trisha for our wedding as a day of coordinator, and from day 1 she was extremely supportive. We not only appreciated her work throughout the entire planning process, the actual day of the event, she was extremely helpful and resourceful. It's the little things that count, and Trisha was did not miss a step.

I truly appreciated her calm demeanor throughout the entire process and made me feel confident when certain things got overwhelming. During our event, Trisha also brought Tiffany who was a huge help as well. I would recommend this power-house team for any event!!


Lisa was our DOC and she was wonderful to work with! She went above and beyond her role as DOC as she helped me throughout the planning process, either when I needed another opinion on my wedding plans, or a list of vendors that she had experience working with/recommended. That advice was worth the cost of a DOC alone, but she also did an amazing job the day-of, making sure we were on time, and everything ran smoothly. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for some help with their wedding!


I got married last weekend and used Liven It Up for Day Of Wedding Coordinating services. I interviewed several similar businesses, prior to choosing Liven It Up and while several of them sounded like they could probably do the job, my conversation with Tiffany really made me feel comfortable going with them. They were also very reasonably priced in terms of what was included, compared to other companies in Chicago. From the beginning to the end, I just can't say enough about how awesome our experience with Tiffany was. She was sweet, helpful, organized - all the things you want in someone helping with your wedding. I just can't thank her enough for keeping things organized, calming me down when I was getting stressed, and more. Although technically the service is just for the day of the wedding, we worked with Tiffany for several weeks leading up to the day. She helped us coordinate and deal with the vendors well in advance of the event and just could not be more pleasant to work with. I'm sure other people at the company are talented as well, but I would highly recommend working with Tiffany if you can. She was just lovely!


Sally was the wedding coordinator for my son's wedding last weekend at the Bridgeport Art Center Sculpture Garden. The day couldn't have been more memorable, warm, and absolutely stunningly beautiful, in large part because of the hard work and fabulous recommendations for decor people, photographer and catering that Sally made. She was great to work with, and I would definitely recommend Sally and Liven It Up to anyone planning a wedding or other event without any hesitation whatsoever. We were pretty clueless and hiring Liven It Up was the best decision we made.


Seriously can not say enough great things about Anthony and his team! We were absolutely blown away by how seamlessly everything came together and could not have done it without Anthony leading the way! His guidance during the process kept us sane and the end result far exceeded our expectations. From his thoughtful responses to all of our crazy email requests to his willingness to meet with us whenever we needed to his unbelievable knowledge of the wedding industry - Anthony is simply the best! One of the best features of our wedding day, and something we think every couple should strive for, was that on the day, we had nothing to do but get married and enjoy the party. Liven It Up Events, and specifically our coordinator Lisa, made that reality possible.

To be clear, we started planning our June '15 wedding in October '14. For most of that time, we barely considered hiring a wedding planner. But in late May, less than a month from our wedding, we realized we needed help. And even at this point, we were just looking for someone to coordinate all of the vendors we'd already assembled. Lisa provided us with that service, and so much more.

Lisa helped us to finalize our wedding day timeline, hooked us up (at a very late date) with a brilliant lighting designer and equally brilliant calligrapher, contacted and coordinated with all of our vendors (including the venue, caterer, gelato cart, DJ, photographer, officiant, liquor vendor, florist, calligrapher, lighting designer, livery service, and dog-sitter), picked up our floral arrangements, and helped manage a past-last-minute crisis we created by miscounting our guests.

Lisa was also there on the day to take care of our every personal need, keep the day on-schedule, oversee vendor set-up, the final ceremony rehearsal, gently and genially handled guest and family requests and concerns that we or our best people would have to handle, the processional/recessional, formal photo sessions, the guest-book, the gift-card box, seating cards, first dances, distribution of gift bags, and the end of evening pack up.

As reluctant as we were to spend the money at the late date we decided to, it was worth every penny. If you want your wedding day to go off exactly as you dreamed (or better) without a hitch, you couldn't do better than hiring Liven It Up and having Lisa at your side.


My mom and I have said over and over again that dollar for dollar, Anthony was our best hire for my wedding on August 31 at the Field Museum.

We only needed a day-of coordinator, since we had pretty much hired all our vendors by the time we came to Anthony, but from the beginning, Anthony went above and beyond to answer all questions that came up along the way-- everything from where to get an MOB dress to whether it was necessary to put the year on the invitations. Anthony is the perfect balance of warm and professional; it's easy to see why he has literally written the book on being a wedding planner.

On the day of the wedding, I don't know what we would have done without Anthony. His timeline was perfect, and he was so on top of everything the whole day. I wasn't nervous or anxious (probably in part because he had everything so under control) but he repeatedly asked if I was okay, if I needed anything.

I can't say enough good things about Anthony and Liven It Up Events. Anyone getting married in Chicago should be fighting to hire him!


Sally helped me pull together an amazing wedding at Cafe Brauer.... in a short 6 months!

We decided that all I would need as a partial coordinator to help recommend and coordinate vendors and manage the wedding day. All we had to do was give Sally a sense of how we wanted our wedding to feel and what we wanted--food, flowers, decor, bands, etc--and she gave us a few options and we made quick decisions.

She was right on with all her recommendations and it was great that she and Liven It Up have relationships with most Chicago vendors. It was obvious that she picked reliable, high quality vendors that she trusted would deliver on our big day. And they did--it was perfect!

The BEST thing is that I didn't go all bridezilla and worry about every detail. Sally helped us make decisions when needed and provided her expert council on things I would have never considered on my own. By our wedding day, I felt totally prepared, relaxed, and simply enjoyed an AMAZING party. Everything just came together and blew away all my expectations.... my guests too!

Wow. Anthony was our 'day of' coordinator at my wedding at the Ritz Carlton this past weekend. Day of coordinator is such a misnomer, as I really feel like I had been working with him non-stop for the past year. He was the most professional vendor I have ever worked with. He went absolutely above and beyond, answering any questions, recommending other vendors, constructing the most incredible time-line, and working with all our vendors. And all this before the actual wedding! On the day of, he worked non-stop behind the scenes to make sure everything went perfectly. The day went absolutely flawlessly. We did not have to worry about one thing, and were able to sit back and really enjoy each and every part of the day. Thank you so, so much Anthony!


Our wedding was 07-28-12 and we used Liven It Up Events for day of coordinator services and it was one of the best wedding decisions we ever made. We had interviewed other coordinators but from the moment we met Anthony we knew he was the choice. Anthony is exceptional!!!!! He was professional, competent and made every step easy and transitions smooth from start to finish. I would highly recommend a day of coordinator and it must be Liven It Up. I did not have to worry about one thing and was able to relax and enjoy from start to finish. His assistant was also great and there for us till the end. I can't speak enough of Anthony and his team. Ladies, ladies, ladies! Read no further reviews. This IS the man you want to plan your wedding! Anthony was, hands down, the BEST decision I made next to my choice of husbands. He is fantastic in every sense of the word! His vision, level of excitement and engagement, follow up, kindness, and numerous "extras" FAR exceeded our expectations. We used him for the 'day of' but his services went way beyond just that day. There is a reason he receives 5 stars and if we could give him 10 stars (on a scale of 5), we would! He made the process seamless and the wedding day everything we ever dreamed of... and more!


Anthony is a delight to work with. He helped to coordinate my wedding, and he brought an incredible level of expertise, creativity, and attention to detail to the event. Anthony is wonderful at providing guidance on what is realistic in planning an event, while also being flexible and willing to think about alternative ways of doing things. During our event, he was masterful at keeping us on track and on schedule. We didn't worry about a thing for the entire night. Everyone in attendance had a blast, especially my husband and me!


I can't say enough good about Anthony and the fantastic job he did planning our wedding. I gave him a call based on all the fantastic Yelp reviews he got, and in the first ten minutes of conversation, he was obviously the right guy.

He asked a lot of questions and got to know us well, and then made his recommendations. It was obvious those recommendations were tailored to us and our personalities, and not just stock places he always used. He listened to what we wanted and all his recommendations were spot-on. He made things easy and painless -- and he was fantastic on the wedding day itself. Got my fiancee everything she needed, was fast and efficient, ran things well (and got extra super bonus points for being thoughtful and hugely solicitous to the eight-and-three-quarters-months-pregnant friend who was in attendance).

Anthony is the glue that made my wedding what it was this past week is one of the main reasons why me and my husband are so happy with our wedding.

His vision and execution was flawless - he attended walkthroughs with me, gave advice, listened to my bitching (and there was a lot of bitching as we approached the big day). He has the patience of a saint - and will hold a bride's hand through the planning process which can be overwhelming...and I consider myself organized!

He does go above and beyond in everything that he does - and keeps your budget in check! Anyone planning a wedding will get sticker shock really fast if they are planning a wedding in the city and Anthony gets that - he will give you the no "BS" answers and reality check of what you can and cannot get...and I think that's refreshing.

People that aren't made out of money can have elegant and chic weddings! Please consider Anthony for either Day of Coordination or full on wedding planning...he's experienced, organized, and gets it all done!

I'm sure there were hiccups during our wedding but not once was I summoned to resolve anything - in my mind that is the best wedding present anyone can give a bride!
